“I am a Virginia native and have lived in many different regions of the state. I lived in Pulaski until I was eight, moved to Gloucester County (on the coast) and graduated from Gloucester High. I went to Virginia Military Institute for my Bachelor’s Degree in History. After college and some experience in the work force, I went to Mississippi College School of Law.”

“After law school, I returned to Virginia and began practicing law. I have been licensed since 1999. I worked briefly for the Public Defender’s office in Pulaski, then worked for Southwest Virginia Legal Aid Society in Marion and Christiansburg for five years. At legal aid, I represented clients in family law cases, landlord-tenant disputes, bankruptcies, and other civil cases.
“In 2005 I took a job with a small law firm in Montross, Virginia (on the Northern Neck). At that firm, my practice focused primarily on criminal defense. I stayed there until 2008, at which time I returned to Southwest Virginia and opened my own practice.”
